Princess Farhana - Extreme Taqsim
Make your undulations look “boneless” as well as effortless! This special workshop focuses on slow movements and combinations perfectly suited for languid Oriental taqsim and chiftetelli pieces, such as layered shimmies, interesting variations on camels and figure eight's, and veil work. It will also provide the building blocks for beautiful abdominal technique, like belly rolls and flutters, and the amazing “flundulation”- a belly roll layered with a flutter! Class includes a detailed handout sheet- bring a veil and a towel, you WILL be sweating!
Morwenna Assaf - Dabke
Join Master Instructor Morwenna Assaf in technique and style of the National dance of Lebanon. Although stylistically different, variations of this folkloric line dance are practiced throughout the Middle East at parties, celebrations, weddings and nightclubs.
Darshan - Drills for Fluidity & Unity
AKA "Tribal FU", join the incredible Darshan as she Increases yourprecision for solo and group work, and ease of transitions between moves by drilling clever combinations.

Zaina Hart - Competition Preparation
If you have already or are considering entering the world of "Belly Dance Competitions" you won't want to miss this class. Zaina Hart gained much of her notoriety while on the competition circuit - - pushing the envelope. She will walk you through the "lessons" learned, positive focus, and win that is always there. From the score sheet and category description to the moment you step on the stage - - learn the mind set and rewards of competition.

Zaina will bring you into the world of Hip Articulation; precise down shimmies, walking hip drops, shimmy overlays, locks and tucks, shoulder shimmies with rib circles, Zaina's famous "Diamond" (inverted), her fabulous Tic Tocs - - and oh so much more.
Morocco - Raks Al Assaya (Cane)
What exactly is it? (first clue: nothing to do with sheep!) Why is the women's different from the men's? How? Includes a full routine choreography.
Darshan - Yoga, Balance and Body Awareness
Flowing through postures that help strengthen, balance and open the body. Leading to some deep tribal tricks.

Foundation techniques, combinations and more from one of the world's leaders in Egyptian dance.
Morocco - Guedra
Not a dance, but a trance ritual of the Blue People of the Saharan Tuaregs.  The real thing with full explanation/ lecture & technique.
Frederique David - New ‘Urban Tribal Style’ Moves
Want to add to your tribal vocabulary? Learn new moves with the ATS concept of lead and follow developed with non-verbal cues. Frederique has created new Urban Tribal moves that have been inspired by a variety of ancient and modern dances with fundamental roots in ATS and Cabaret stylized belly dance. Class will begin with elementary yoga/palates based stretches/exercises, ending with isometric upper body strengthening that will help develop excellent upper body posture for dancing as well as our daily life. Be prepared to focus on strong technique throughout the class.  By the end we will all be dancing new tribal moves together, as a tribe.
Prior knowledge in ATS is recommended but not necessary.

Sahra Saeeda - Egyptian Oriental MASTER CLASS
Intended for Experienced dancers (Advanced Levels), a fast paced Master session! This class will NOT slow down for fundamentals or foundation techniques. Class will be limited to 25 people max.
Princess Farhana - What to Know Before You Book That Gig
Aimed at dancers who have not turned professional but desire to, this two-hour workshop combines a comprehensive lecture with a rigorous class. The first part (lecture combined with Q & A) goes over business and dance ethics; effective ways to negotiate while booking gigs; proper protocol for jobs at private parties, night clubs, restaurants; tipping procedures; and crowd control and troubleshooting. The second half of the class focuses on moving beyond dance technique- including: stage dynamics; exciting entrances; adding variety and punch to short shows; creating a signature style. Handouts including a gig checklist are included. Please bring a veil and cymbals if you use them.

Join Sahra for a hands on demonstration of Egyptian folkloric styles including history, musical differences, geographic differences and more.
Frederique David - Advance your Technique with Frederique
Learn how to put the tech-in-the-nique! As a certified indoor cycling and strength-training instructor, Frederique has applied her knowledge of both the gym and dance to form a specific focus on drills for belly dancers. Be prepared for your body and mind to work hard. This workshop will focus on advanced isometric exercises, with drills created specifically for belly dance to develop control and muscle memory. This focus will aid in making difficult movements look effortless with an emphasis on elementary layering; the separation between upper and lower body strengthening and fluidity and an eye for structural composition.

Urban Tribal's favorite floor maneuvers. Heather gives insight into their innovative floor work style. Students will then learn combinations. Bring knee pads please. Intended for Experienced dancers (Advanced Levels)
Princess Farhana - Exciting Stage Makeup
You look like a million bucks in that seven hundred dollar costume you just bought…. Now your face has to match! Well-done stage make-up will enhance your features and hide your flaws. We will go over a step-by-step make-up “map”, getting your face ready for performance. Learn how to apply false eyelashes like a seasoned pro! Also: tips for photographic make-up (both color and black and white) and tricks for fantasy fun, like going wild with glitter, bindis and color. A clearly illustrated booklet and a set of false eyelashes are included in this workshop. Please bring your own make-up and applicators- cotton balls, tissues and make-up remover will be on hand at the class. Arrive with a well-scrubbed face, leave as a goddess!
